One flat fee, no surprises
To facilitate the trademark filing process, Keough Law, PLLC offers the following package. The $550 legal fee covers one application in up to two classes of goods or services—which is what most clients need. Government filing fees are set by the USPTO and billed in addition to the flat legal fee.

More Than Two Classes?
+$550per additional 2 classes
A third class starts another $550 legal fee, covering up to two more classes (classes 3–4), plus USPTO fees for each class. Additional marks are billed the same way: $550 per application, up to two classes.
How classes work
- Most clients file in one or two classes, so one $550 fee covers the legal work.
- More than two classes on the same application triggers another $550 (up to two more classes).
- USPTO government filing fees are charged per class, in addition to the legal fee.
- Filing a second mark is a separate application at the same $550 + fees rate.
From hired to filed in 3–5 business days
Once we are engaged, we typically complete the clearance search and file the USPTO application in approximately 3–5 business days—if the search and application raise no issues. Conflicts, incomplete information, or other problems can extend that timeline; we'll tell you promptly if they do.

Office actions without legal research & writing
Responses that do not require legal research or written argument are included in the flat fee. Substantive office actions are billed separately (see below).
Registration delivered to you
Your trademark registration certificate is sent to you once we receive it.
Office actions that require legal research and writing are not included in the flat fee. Those responses are billed at $350/hour (a typical response is about 3 hours). We confer with you first and do not start the work until you authorize it.
